LuxDev goes Myanmar
On 20 June 2013, the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign Affairs mandated LuxDev to prepare the formulation of a new project in Myanmar, called Development of Human Resources in the Hotel and Tourism Sector and Capacity Development of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism
.
The aim is to develop Myanmar’s human resources in the Hospitality and Tourism sector as requested by the Myanmar Ministry of Hotels and Tourism and at the same time, enhance the institutional capacity of the ministry in line with recently released studies, including the Myanmar Tourism Master Plan 2013-2020 and the Responsible Tourism Policy.
The expected outcome of this 5 MEUR project is to develop and implement a Human Resources Development plan for the Tourism sector as well building capacities at both the ministry and the private sector level, in order to align all efforts with labour market needs and visitor service quality expectations.
