The Kosova Cyber Team participates in this year's European Cybersecurity Challenge 2025 in Warsaw, Poland. The challenge, organised by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), brings together young cybersecurity talent from across Europe to compete in solving tasks related to web, mobile, cryptography, and forensics.

Strengthening Kosovo’s national cybersecurity capabilities

As part of the project Sustainable and inclusive growth in Kosovo, which promotes innovation, inclusion, and greener economic development, Kosovo is taking another important step in building its cybersecurity capacity.

The Kosova Cyber Team a national alliance coordinated by Prof. Blerim REXHA from the University of Prishtina brings together key institutions, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Kosovo Security Force (Cybersecurity Training Centre), the Ministry of Economy, universities (UBT College, AAB College, University of Prishtina), and private and civil society partners such as Free Libre Open Source Software Kosova (FLOSSK).

Following Kosovo’s first participation as a guest country in 2024, the team records its second participation this year in the European Cybersecurity Challenge 2025 in Warsaw. The challenge, organised by the ENISA, brings together young cybersecurity talent from across Europe to compete in solving tasks related to web, mobile, cryptography, and forensics.

Competition in Warsaw

Participation in the challenge strengthens Kosovo’s national cybersecurity capabilities and provides young professionals with valuable experience and networking opportunities. The knowledge gained will contribute to capacity building for institutions such as the Kosovo Institute of Public Administration and the national Cybersecurity Agency, helping to train future cybersecurity experts within the civil service.

The event in Warsaw marks Kosovo’s growing role in Europe’s cybersecurity landscape — linking education, innovation, and national development in a safer digital future.
