Final evaluation

The Programme supports the Government of El Salvador in achieving poverty reduction and fighting economic and social inequalities as well as social exclusion.

SVD/022 supports the implementation of one of the main urban and rural poverty reduction strategies in El Salvador through the Comunidades solidarias (Caring communities) programme which aims at carrying out integrated actions in favour of families and people living in extreme poverty and social exclusion.

The two areas of intervention of the programme are, on the one hand, budget support to Comunidades Solidarias through the common fund for programmatic support and, on the other hand, technical assistance for the implementation of the programme.

In 2013 the organizational basis for optimal operation of the programme was established.
