The National Human Development Plan for Nicaragua focusses on job creation and poverty reduction. Tourism and hospitality are therefore a priority sector for the government. The objective of the National Technology Institute (INATEC) is to build a platform of educational training for job creation based on development and the much needed competitiveness in different economic sectors.
After the effective setting up of the first national and regional technical platform, the National Hospitality Training School (ENAH), in 2006, this investment now has to deliver its pedagogic potential and be at the service of socio-professional demand for training.
This project aims to consolidate the results obtained in prior phases and to use them to contribute to the economic development of the hotel business, catering and tourism sectors at local and national level. Presently the project focuses on reinforcing the capacities of the ENAH and the INATEC teams so that the transfer of competences and of pedagogic and administrative responsibilities can progress.
The project has been extended to January 2013 in order to consolidate and disseminate the training model.
