As part of the implementation of the National Health Sector Strategy, the project directly assists the Ministry of Health (MoH) of Kosovo in strengthening its capacities. The project focuses on the management, the institutional framework, the legal framework for public / private providers and regulating the entire health care delivery system.
The project results are achieved through the provision of technical assistance in direct support to the Minister and his staff. This technical assistance will focus on the elaboration of various policy options for decision makers and support the MoH in the implementation of "strategic priorities".
The project is responsible for the conceptualisation and implementation of a pilot health information system to be developed at the MoH headquarters in Pristina, the Prizren Regional Hospital, as well as the University Clinical Centre of Pristina.
The project continues the consolidation of activities of previous projects in the Prizren region, where hospital infrastructure will be further improved.
